doesnt really matter in most cases, there should be a max of 4 all together... although they wont be connecting to the internet they maybe still slow the pc down

mmmm dunno about that, unless Vista is different, I've jus installed it (again) and have 17, 8 of which are 127.0.0.1, 3 are IRC, 4 are web, port 80 n 2 others.

My net speeds are fine.

No spyware detected & speeds are right on the money.

Its shows open connections so it could be programs or spyware, just becuase your speeds are ok now doesnt mean it aint gonna be an issue:nono:

...and just because you've got open connections, doesn't mean it's spyware. I've just looked at my xp pro development laptop, and currently netstat is coming back with around 55 open connections, (and I know there isn't any spyware on the machine). Speed is absolutely fine as well :)

On a basic users computer, 9/10 times it is spyware  stop making this difficult for me :lol1:

stevey 28 February 2007 02:03 PM

forgot how to paste it on here so you can see them

bioforger 28 February 2007 03:46 PM

Top left icon from the cmd window, edit/mark, drag n select, edit copy/paste.

Iain Young 28 February 2007 04:05 PM

or type

netstat -n > stat.txt
and it will redirect the output into a text file :)
