Question for valeters - plastic trim treatment?
Hi
Have worked in a few dealerships. And remember I used to get this stuff off the valeters. Which we nicknamed (strawberry milkshake) as thats what it looked like. It was bloody great - it would bring back any plastic back to a new look - but with out that horrible back to black silicoe shine. For example I did the engine bay outside and inside trim of an old MK2 golf Gti (which had some very faded bits) with the stuff and it litteraly looked like new. Now the question is - does anyone know ACTUALLY know what this stuff is called and where I can get it from. To my knowledge it is not in the shops and is only supplied to the proffesionals. At the moment I am in Germany so I am not exactly around the corner to hunt it out Thanks Steve |
wonder if it smells of strawberrys :wonder: mmmmmmm strawberrys :)

I've got similar at work, pink, really smells of cheap perfume, but works wonders on old trim, plastics etc.
I got a rep to get it for me a few years back in a 5ltr container, now I've nearly used it all up and have struggled to get it again. Nearest I have found so far is 5ltrs of Meguiars Hyper Dressing - http://www.cleanandshiney.co.uk/ Look under 'bulk/valeting' for it. |
Thanks for the link G00ner.
So you also know of this majic stuff. It was so good it made everything else I had ever used seem useless. But I remember it was fecking hard to get hold off and I got my last lot of one of the proffesional suppliers - that a valeter put me intouch with. When I am next in england in a few weeks I will see if I can find some people and hunt out again - IF i find a supplier I will let you know Cheers Steve |
any reasonable plastic dressing will do.....
most "damage" on plastic trim is down to UV radiation IIRC |
