New Mail notification for Public Folders
 

Hi,

got a MS SBS2003 setup with Exchange Server 2003. Public Folders are all email-enabled and successfully receive incoming mail.

I don't receive notification of new email to these folders, either with the unread messages number next to the folder or with the little pop-up from the taskbar/clock.

Confused !! :confused:

I don't think you will receive a notification on the receipt of mail in a public folder "out of the box". Either develop a rule on the public folder or there are scripts at CDOLive - Public Folder Update Notification or IvaSoft - PubNotify for MS Exchange 2000. Haven't used either of these, so can't vouch for them 100%.

It's just that on our old network the public folder messages were also posted to our inboxes if we were in the public folder distrib group - this is what I was aiming for.

ANy ideas ? :)
