any one had one

the other half has decided if i keep spending on the scoob she wants a car she wants and it is a classic mini

she has bout 6 -7 k to spend , any advice would be welcome ( even better if any one knows of someone selling a minter )

Look after it, the late ones do tend to rust a fair bit. She keeping it garaged?

They're wicked little cars. Still a fantastic display of design skills too, incredibly compact.

sadly not kept in the garage :(

she does use my car if its salty out which should help along with a good clean every weekend

hi rich, me and the wife brought one last year (2000, x reg) sold a bmw mini to get it. quality car. the fun bit is filling the tank up, i think its £15 or so and its full ! :)

Was that a limited edition model, with the silver roof?

was limited edition but the roof is electric webasto (black with silver around the edge.:)

hi rich, did you get your car from mini man by any chance ? my mate knows the body man who does all of mini mans work. no offence, not saying that it needs anything doing ! just to let you know if you ever there is an issue with the body of the mini then i can give you the number. cheers maz:)

For that sort of money you're surely better getting a mint 1275 cooper mk2 - quicker and will hold it's value well.

i ve got it in to her head that she will need to get the body work touched up every year so the mini man body shop number would be great

Oooooooooooh not Mini Man, good look with the after sales :eek2: My bro dealt with a few years back and the bloke is a nightmare and I wouldnt trust him as far as I could throw him tbh.

Yahhh. As she didnt get the work done on it last year, she's trying to get the funds together for an overhaul this year.

I just missed out on a flying lap in that mini the first time I was over there last year. he left my boss in his track scooby for dead. the bloke knows the track like the back of his hand plus he doesnt use his breaks much lol. he said instead of going to the pub to get pissed he spends all his cash on flying laps and scaring the ****e of people who are mad enough to get in. Fair play to him

Your car looks great, But I am absolutely shocked at how much these go for. Just looked on Autotrader, Some on autotrader are more than I thought they were, new !

It has a Honda 1.6 VT engine. I think it is tuned to 160-180hp
