advise please??what can i gain??

Hi all just joined as iv been looking trough the forum and i do like the site and seems a great spot for some advise??
heres my predicament im a complete scooby nut have been for years after a few other performance motors im finally in a position to build my dream scooby...
I bough the car back in november after looking at a few different imprezas this one came up at the right price.and iv been told the uk cars are a good base engine wise as id seen a few roapy sti's when looking?
its a original irish car(where im from)its a limited edition 98 gt series one.i think they were the same as the uk terzo models?not sure.
so got the car took it of the road and started building the spec.

the problem is id like to be able to put my car up to my mates evos etc its very much a gruddge match and after spending so much time money effort to just be pissed on by a evo my mate just went out and bought in a jap car dealer is prity annoying!!

spec so far:
engine:

blitz induction kit
blitz cat back nur spec exhaust
ninja downpipe(heatwraped)
gt spec gen II headers with up pipe(all heatwrapped)
sti yellow 440cc injectors
IHI VF 35 turbo
apexi power fc
apexi avcr boost controller
walbro uprated fuel pump
fuel lab fuel press reg(set to 3 bar)
xs power fmic(prity big)and custom pipe work by scooby specialist
hks ssqv

car was mapped by Andy Forrest.car was mapped to run on irish fuel(95ron)+octain boost iv been told 98ron.
boost is set to 1.35flatline then 1.4 bar and peaking at just under 1.5 bar

suspension:
tein super street coilovers
tein strut brace
do-lock anti roll bars+bushings
next to be got whiteline droplinks all round then fit the whole suspension

sorry to bore people witha spec list and that im just trying to get a rough idea of where i stand?would i be right in saying power figures 320+bhp i was hoping for 340bhp??not realy worried what it reads on a dyno(i no how strange that sound)but i just want a fast car on the roads and strip.

the problem is i want to stay ahead of the local evos the main rival a evo 5 looks fairly standard bar power fc mapped in japan and other than that im not realy sure.owner claims 400bhp but i recon really about 350bhp?

will my car take a 350 evo on the strip??

As i dont drive my impreza much its a weekend/strip toy but iv put alot of effort into the car and iv been tinking about going a step further with the car while im at it
*stripping out the rear of the car.how much weight am i looking to loose, will it help quater miles(dont need the rear and have been thinking of doing trackdays in future)
*exedy twin plate clutch and lightweight(planing on this one anyway)?
*what other mods will help get power to the wheels/reduce drivetrain losses?
*lightweight engine pully reduce inertia weight?
*possibly remove air con?
*whiteline anti lift kit?other suspension upgrades?
*could someone please highlight the things that make the RA model lighter and would these be worth carrying out?
*iv already got a buddy club carbon fibre bonnet looking at carbon fibre boot and V5 spoiler not just for cosmetic mods but for weight reduction?
*cusco 6 point rollcage or would i be better with another type?
*ap racing 6 pots

basically theres no limit to the car and i dont mind putting my weeks wages into it for the next 6 month/year if i have to im a strong entusiast and plan on taking the car towards 500bhp in stages and aiming for a quick road/tack/strip car

sorry for boring people with a big speatch but any help advise much apreciated?:thumb:

I would change turbo to a vf 34 or a td05 18g that will give you what you want but if you are looking at more power in the future then get a md321t then you can get up to 500bhp on that baby so if you put it in now then set it for 380 to 400 then when your ready youve got that already???

@scoobyman thanks for the reply mate.what sort of turbo is the md321t?who makes it or where could i get it...thanks was planning on going stroked out to 2.35 closed deck block phase II crank and iv been told rotated GT 30/35 turbo.to be honest im open to any advise as im really lost as to what to go for?was planning on doing that next year...?
I dont have the car mapped very long so was hoping not to rush out and start uping the engine straight away but if thats whats gota be done?
Will my uk block take 370/380 brake ok?
Is a 1200kg weight acompisable or would i be better just goin for more power?

thanks for any help/advise lads im a bit lost:(
