Boost Gauge

Hi, sorry if this has been asked a million times but idid have a scan through and couldn't find anything.

I've got a Boost Gauge fitted to MY00 UK Turbo and have been told it is not reading properly cos it should go back to 0 with the engine off and it isn't, how do i "set it up" so it is correct?

Cheers

Chris

I don't think you can, you might have gauge wired wrong

It cant be wired wrong because it works off the vacuum.
The gauge maybe broken.

yes but it still needs power and ground to it and if it is a bad ground that is what it does

A boost gauge either works or it doesn't - whether electrical or mechanical. It should read zero or very close with the engine off (or if an electrical gauge, with the ignition on but engine off). If it doesn't this, there's nothing that can be set to fix it. How far off zero is it? A lot of gauges show a couple of mm above or below zero when at rest, it's just one of those things. If it's a long way off, then you've got a problem.
