the best way to seal a front screen is to remove it clean/scrape the old window sealer off prime it and refit with the correct adhesive, or you can get a local window fitter to come an do it shouldnt cost to much, where are you based?

if you have fully comp insurance you could get new screen fitted and pay the excess usually around £60 just use something to crack the screen

oh right if you were local id give you mates numberand he would do it for you,i wouldnt just bodge it though as your windsreen is part of the cars integral strength and needs to properly bonded in place.

"just cracking" a screen is not easy!!

A "friend" of mine needed his changing. The screen was approached with a hammer and hit pretty damn hard with no result several times. Only with a full force blow, with a pretty heavy hammer, striking with the edge of the head did a small crack emerge.

Planned destruction can be hard at times.
