hi all ive not posted this to bragg or anything of that tone.
i was folowing the rally as you know by the title, it was a fairly busy saturday morning and i was just keeping up with the flow of traffic at the time, no excuse i know! but i was caught on the A465 and was doing 83mph in a 70mph limit.
does anyone have any idea what points and fine i may expect or will it be 3 points and 60 pound fine? just sending conformation of driver and reading some of these other posts am a little worried.
any advice would be appreciated. Lee

You should have 3 points and a fine mate. Sorry to hear it. This buisness is getting absolutely rediculous regarding speeding, gatsos etc.

Well at least they have to paint the gatsos yellow. Its a start.

best of luck
scrappy

cheers scrappy! i thought it would be that as its not totally excessive, just could with out huge points and huge fine with christmas coming and all that.
ill just wait and see, bloody nightmare i was doing 80/85 and was getting passed by everyman and its dog! half of south wales must of been knicked that day.
cheers Lee :D

when u'll receive the letter asking you who was driving the car, don't put your name there, just send the cheque for the sum and as a driver put there some made up name from abroad, as an explanation it was your friend and you'll not get the points into your licence...

velryba,

I believe that is classed as 'Perverting the Course of Justice' and could land you in jail!

Lee,

Have you received an NIP? if not dont worry too much, lop off 10% your indicated speed and your nearer 72-76.5 mph. My memory is a bit cloudy but im sure a Scoobynetter (Stef?) received an NIP for something daft like 75 in a 70 and he contested it and got off?
