TV has a lot to answer for!!

Was talking to my other half last week about she want something different for the kitchen, and fancied halogen lighting in the plinths to illuminate the floor with soft light, then I had the idea, how about using neons instead as they come in a range of colours, so we decided on blue:

after putting the lighting in place to see what it looked like, we then decided to put neons under the wall cupboards as well!

Is this the chaviest kitchen in Essex;):D

Yes, the lighting is now staying and I've got to wire it all in this weekend

 You could have started a trend there, Paul.

To be honest, we really like it mate, kitchen feels warmer and the light is perfect, not to bright, but illuminates the kitchen well.

Obviously it's not to everyones taste, but they haven't got to put up with it;)

Wow that is Chavy! :lol1:

Being doing something similar for some time, but use rope lights, set in the plinths to light wash the floor or on top of the wall units to wash the ceiling.
I even have my bath panel illuminated!
Rope comes in various colours but white or yellow give the most subtle effect, plus can be cut to any size and formed around corners.

Under counter neons. You should start making kits and selling them on ebay. Bet you'd sell a few.

Funny you should say that, the final choice was blue or pink, but the cooker has a blue display, so opted for blue
