It really annoys me that these Moral Do-gooders think they have a right to tel you that you should spend the rest of your life in agonising pain. These are the same idiot who fight against medical science developing new ways to fight disease (stem cell research).

It's against God will they chant. Well, if God exists, he created man. He created man with a brain. Who says God didn't intend for man to develop ways of fighting disease?

Personally I think you should be allowed to die. We put our pets down so they don't live the rest of their lives in pain. Why can't the same rule be applied to Humans.

Not a problem for me. If I was in that much pain, I'd get me gun out of the Cabinet. However, I'd prefer an injection.

I can well understand the wishes of people in such dire medical straights to be allowed to commit suicide or to undergo euthanasia.

I think that euthanasia is a dangerous path to go down and could be used in the future by a bad government to institute a form of "Logan's" method to control the population of the country to those who are still able to work.

Sh*t. Puts things in perspective doesn't it! :eek: 30 years old and look at the state of the poor thing!

I don't think there should be a blanket policy on this matter, for or against; each case needs to be decided on its merits by independent medical experts and in close consultation with the individual concerned.

I think a law just forbiding it can be inhumane (especially if it is made on the basis of religious values that involves imposing beliefs on someone who might not share them). However, a law just allowing it without strict protocol and consultation would be potentially dangerous!
