Hi,
Ive had my99 scooby for 4weeks now, bought 2nd hand and just had new clutch and flywheel changed under warranty.( all fine there).
The question is when I drive the car and come to a halt at a junction quickly my revs fluctuate up and down between 1000 and 0.
To the point where the car nealry stalls.Yesterday it did still.
I have a full tank of petrol, any ideas??

I used to have a 2.0 GLS Sierra that did this - hunt on idle its called. Settings were adjusted & it was cured (I'm not a mechanic so don't know techie bits). Scorpio used to do this sometimes too, but normally only after eratic (stop/start/rush etc) type driving, but would settle. May not be the answer as were Fords, but similar curable symptoms.
