amazon.co.uk customer service (not rant)

It's not very often you are pleasantly surprised by good customer service, so I'd thought I'd share.

Ordered a flashy keyboard, it arrived and was faulty.

Filled in the on-line form on Amazon's site on Monday, printed the pre-paid labels.

DHL collected (as promised) on Tuesday.

Just had the replacement today.

They must have sent the replacement out once they received notification that the faulty board was collected (quite trusting).

Very happy.

Yeah I had some books sent to Gibraltar that never showed up. They gave me a full refund with no arguing. Was very impressed.

That's nice to know if it's even needed - I use Amazon quite a lot :)

I bought something from ebuyer a couple of years ago, which was misdecribed, so I followed their "online" returns procedure and it took about 3 months to get my money back with loads of emails and phone calls and then I didn't get a full refund - absolutley useless and I will never use them again , so I won't have the opportunity to find out if their customer service has improved.

I believe Amazon are well known for their good customer service :thumb:
