Edited to say, sorry i'm stupid, was on the wrong channel!

corradoboy 04 February 2007 08:18 PM

BBC2, although there's probably an old one on G2 as well.

bootsy 04 February 2007 09:11 PM

could of done beter:(

Sbradley 04 February 2007 09:12 PM

Some flashes of brilliance and some good writing tonight, I thought.

Told me feck-all about cars, of course. But brilliant entertainment. Which is as it should be - if I want to know everything about a car I'll ask an expert. On here...:lol1:

Getting bored with it already  . 2 shows now and we've seen about 5 cars

cookstar 04 February 2007 09:14 PM

I have only just watched last weeks on tape tonight, will have to catch the repeat :(

Steve Fort 04 February 2007 09:22 PM

Still not many cars, but atleast they drove them on the road for a change.

How could they prefer that Alfa, looked like (and probably is) a piece of 5hit!

KiwiGTI 04 February 2007 10:01 PM

Great show.

OPC 04 February 2007 10:02 PM

The camera work and production on Top Gear is groundbreaking for a car show and that's enough to make up for it's other shortcomings in my opinion.

I thought it was a cracking show tonight. And wasn't Hugh Grant a quality guest? Charming, funny bloke. :)

jiffthejiffmanjaffa 04 February 2007 11:29 PM

I liked it, if only to how old Hugh Grant is looking.

I would have gone for the RX myself, don't like Audi's and Alpha's, well:nono:

same here, is james may a sober and clean version of frank gallagher off shameless or is it just me that thinks that?

corradoboy 04 February 2007 11:45 PM

Cap'n Slow in the Veyron was interesting. The speed the numbers rose made me chuckle remembering my drive home this morning when I'd got my Coarser at 90 and it took it over 2 miles to get to 100.

Without having driven them, based on reviews and looks, I'd probably pick the TT out of the 3. If it were my money however I'd be looking at the Z4 or 350Z. It was good to see them actually reviewing cars again, even if it was a little theatrically convoluted. Mixing a group test in amongst the entertaining silliness is just what the show was needing IMHO to bring it back towards its original remit, but not too much.

Iwan 05 February 2007 08:03 AM

Great quote from Clarkson, "if you do 50mph in the outside lane of a motorway and won't move over, you're a child molester". :lol1: :thumb:

davegtt 05 February 2007 10:16 AM

tbh, the Bugatti feature was good but thought the rest of the program was lacking and didnt really keep me interested.

Agree totally, WTF is up with Bugatti tho, they wont let the stig take it round their track, so they have to appeal to owners on the show?:wonder:

I hear this years Gumball has no less than 6 Veyron's in the rally:norty: :) :thumb:

Jay m A 05 February 2007 11:07 AM

I can't believe I missed this - I've got Sky+ as well

Is it repeated or online at all?

davegtt 05 February 2007 11:09 AM

Think its repeated on Tuesdays at 9 IIRC.

I should imagine its to do with the value of the vehicle and worried he will cause some damage to it.

Jay m A 05 February 2007 11:15 AM

Thanks Dave

You reckon?

I think it's because they are worried that a Scooby would be faster, especially round the twisty sections of the track.
