My Black STi Ver3, now with nice pics!

I see a few other nice STi3's popping up in the members gallery in the last few days so out I went today with the camera and took a few (i think) nice pics of the motor! :)
I was after a black classic STi in particular for a while and David at APi sorted me out with this top car:thumb: . I knew i'd be having it soon as he started it up.
It would have eaten my old STi Ver8 for sure, it just feels so raw and aggresive, I love it!

what do you think of it?

STi III's are great....raw and aggressive.
Many were known topull 295bpb straight from factory. Everything was changed from the ver. II to III.

22b turbo, diff compression ratio and engine management etc...

Mine has a full system, no re map and made 321bhp on the rollers in summer...

Enjoy mate... car looks top by the way!

Yea I knew the classic STi's had a good power output when I was looking for one, then I got this and was pleasantly suprised when I looked it up on Eta Tauri Site Impreza Reference - WRX Frenzy GC8D4ED comes up 300ps (295bhp or so like you said) with 343N-m torque.
I've read it up a bit and cant find definate reasons why it is up on power as standard, it has a VF23 like the 22b supposed to have had, also have read bits about 'wild' cams and other internal engine bits :wonder:
Any way all I know is it goes like stink, and im really happy!

I like your rally look too!

Thats bang on mate:thumb: but then it is a classic so goes without saying:notworthy

Thanks.... yeh i just think they were still in the early days of STi's and these engines were blue printed and hand finished...

Which due to worldwide demand they can no longer do..... so now the engines are built side by side. Where as before the STi's were hand finished.

I have had mine for just over 2 years now and never put a foot wrong..

Lee-B STi Type UK 04 February 2007 12:33 PM

Hand-built, blue printed, specially finished..... im feeling very important now :) Cheers matey :D
