RAPID RABBIT 01 February 2007 06:32 PM

i'm with hic. normaly there brill..:thumb:
just got a qoute from tesco for 760 tpft and 880 fully comp, not to bad..

2pac 01 February 2007 10:23 PM

Tescos are shocking, they give low quotes but thats because they give sod all help when needed.

Have a good look around but i personally wouldnt ever touch tesco insurance ever again, they are unprofessional, rude, unhelpful and should stick to selling spuds!!

Charlie_Chunk 01 February 2007 11:35 PM

Im surprised at that TBH...

Last year we had a saxo hit the discovery up the ar5e, they were insured with tesco, and even tho all they did was break the tow bar electrics :lol1: and nearly wrote the saxo off..:freak3: tesco were on the phone 2 days later asking what damage/where i wanted to get it fixed etc... Told them not to bother as we had already change the socket for one we had already...

im 21 and have a heavily done type r v5...legally on road :norty:

try adrian flux...ive heard there ok
good luck bud :thumb:

swampster 03 February 2007 12:06 AM

I found Adrian Flux extremely expensive for a Scooby..
Gary's quote was at least 66% cheaper than what they quoted me!

Holyterror72 03 February 2007 01:59 PM

Im a little confused how you lot get your insurance so cheap.

I have 6 years no claims (been driving longer on fleets, etc) and am about to try to get insurance on an V4 STi Type R. Thing is Ive owned the car eight years, drove it on a fleet policy and when the company I was part of went 'belly up' last year took it off the road. I m a bit worried about even trying to get a quote for it. I will probably only drive it at weekends, in good weather, when I havent got to go any where I darent park it (about two weekends use a year then and its not moving out of the garage). Its a second car that wont do much really.

Any advice from you lot would be greatly appreciated or any pm's from insurance providers would be great. I hate using it as an expensive shelf in the garage.

Cheers

Holyterror72 03 February 2007 02:00 PM

Forgot to mention, Im a 29 year old Health & Safety consultant (dont hold that against me please).

RAPID RABBIT 03 February 2007 02:15 PM

i'm with hic at the moment with a limited milage on a heavy modded mk1 golf gti. 2nd car etc. they gave me a brilliant deal no one can touch. £150:luxhello:
but will not touch me on a scoob untill i'm at least 27. worth a try....

Holyterror72 03 February 2007 02:50 PM

Oh dear. Wouldnt they give you any quote at all then?

So how do you do it Prince of Tokyo being only 21?
