Rush Corp isnt an auction house, Id advise anyone to steer clear.

I want one of those boats they have for sale!!!! :D

No Nick, but people are better staying away from false auctions as theyre always misleading at best; and downright crooked usually (the worst firms hold an 'auction' and then charge you to make the 'winning' bid -in the real auction- so scores of people pay to have worthless bids placed that have no chance of winning).

Mac, the reserve prices listed have no bearing on the end price; cars almost always sell for within 5% of their value. ¥2,900,000 is about £12,335.

So no cheap bargains then, also is this route of ownership now still feasable as a large saving or should you still go for a good importer.

You are always best advised to deal with a respected importer, who deals transparently and charges you a fixed fee.

Interesting post - the same car is also for sale on another Japanese auction site.

At 2.9Million yen (starting bid) If you could import it then it would be around £19K allowing enough for Vat, tax, import duty, on the road costs etc, trouble is that the starting price the final price are likely to be very different
