Its pretty good - better than Autoglym but not as good as Swissol/Zymol

PG 30 January 2007 04:49 PM

And you do? :p

Anyway, you're just saying that because Paul got there first :D

Definitely a Swindon thing. My Neighbour does it and a friend who appears outwardly intelligent also does it.

Going to have to make sure my children don't do it, however it seems to only affect the male of the species so they maybe ok.

wrxcraig 31 January 2007 09:24 AM

got it from halfords £24.99 and £9.99 for the towel

Perfectly reasonable starter kit, does everything reasonably well, with as few steps as possible. :)

have to say that I bought a bunch of Meguiars when I bought the Impreza and have to say I love the stuff. Previously used Autoglym which isn't even close to the time/effort/results from Meguiars.

And there was me worried it was all hype!

I picked up their 3 stage stuff today to do the Impreza with at some point this week. Would say though that their microfibre cloths are great; but I have a terry one as well and have yet to find something it beats the microfibre at.

the problem with meguirs stuff, is that its pitched towards somebody who will be buffing the car every weekend, and tends not to last very long IMO

Andy 02STI 02 February 2007 01:10 PM

Agree with Sticky here, it does take the whole day and doesnt last long in my opinion. I'm looking for something a little harder wearing now. Although i quickly used the spray quick-wax nxt stuff to give it a spruce up and it looks awesome after that.

I found that gold class wax only lasted about 2 weeks :brickwall

the shampoo is good stuff though

COLZO 03 February 2007 11:03 PM

Use some Meguiars products Quick Clay, Glass Cleaner but IMO Swissol is the best I`ve came across. I use the Car Bath, Cleaner Fluid (polish), Samurai Wax, Autobahn Wheel Wax and Tyre Dressing. They`re easy to apply and last to keep your car protected for ages. Makes cleaning a doddle! :)

the stuff i liked was a 2 stage polish called diamind brite but i got this through a m8 who was a valeter for arriva at the time and this stuff would win hands down but just cant get it anywhere.

Gear Head 05 February 2007 01:05 PM

Results of Diamondbrite Jewel Ultra on my red my99.

wrxcraig 09 February 2007 12:53 PM
