0-60 time

havent tried this out for myself YET, but just out of interest what would u say the 0-60 time is with these mods, its currently running 300bhp and over 300lbft, as i had a play with a car, i dont want to say yet as he may of been toying with me but i was pulling away every time and they cost best part of 100k
Obviuosly ome of these mods wouldnt count but cant be arsed to delete them.

im still new to this so i dont know whats a good mod and whats not etc etc lol

prince_of_tokyo 29 January 2007 03:25 PM

id say defo under 5 secs...had a classic RA dynod at 311bhp and that did just under 5...1/4 mile jst under 13.2...

scooby51 29 January 2007 03:50 PM

my wrx has full ppp and approx 265bhp (from showroom) and will show 60 mph in under 6 seconds so yours should be quicker

Cocker 29 January 2007 03:51 PM

could be around 10 secs if you stalled it................. ha ha

Guessing around 4 secs???

wrxcraig 29 January 2007 03:55 PM

so would it be possible to pull away from an aston martin vantage, i.e 1st 2nd and 3rd, i know it would have me over all but i let hi pass and then he stayed at a steady pace so not sure really.

New_scooby_04 29 January 2007 04:08 PM

Power at Flywheel (BHP) :
300Weight without Driver (KG) : 1380Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 220.880 - 60 (Secs) : 4.580 - 100 (Secs) : 12.0760 - 100 (Secs) : 7.49Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.28Terminal Speed (MPH) : 104.88Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.88Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 108.28

Here you go mate. Figures obtained from letstorquebhp.com

Assuming a equally good start, you'd most probably just pip an AMV8 vantage to 60, but from there on in he'd have the upper hand, past 80 and it'd be all over!

Ns04

Edited to say that to achieve the above figures you'd have to be brutal with the car, so they should be taken as a the car's theoretical potential rather than what will be achieved on tarmac

Mangel 29 January 2007 04:33 PM

Agree with the figures above but remember that Mr Vantage has to be a little more cautious on the throttle (rear wheel drive) as brutal use will just provoke wheelspin.

Chances are it was down to lack of driver talent on his part.

Mine is 330bhp and ran it 30mph onwards against a DB9 on Sun aft 30 to about 80 there was nothing in it but he would have monstered me after that just ran out of road!!!

Gutmann pug 29 January 2007 04:45 PM

Will this affect your 0-60 time???

CROME IMPREZA GEAR SURROUND

You may not be arsed to delete them, but I cant help but comment on them

:D :D

scoobyverysoon 29 January 2007 04:47 PM

 - I have a new magic tree - thats 0.1 seconds faster :D ;)

silent running 29 January 2007 04:59 PM

LOL one slight technical hitch here though - while you burn off in your Subaru, he's cruising off in the Aston to pick up a couple of ladies for the evening. 0-60 isn't everything. Although to get back to the point, yes a 300bhp+ Scoob would probably 'do' the Aston, for what it's worth.

moneys 29 January 2007 06:54 PM

If it was a wagon you would kick the astons arse all over the place but the saloons are slower so tough:lol1:

ru' 29 January 2007 07:10 PM

What car is it though; could be talking reliant robin for all we know (although most of the mods would be pretty tough to fit!).

Unless I missed it.

powerman1 29 January 2007 08:07 PM

is the momo gear Knob heavier or lighter than the original it will help me with my equation

Dont forget to drop 0.5 of a second for every time you've watched The Fast and the Furious :norty:

I learned that from Scoobykillers.com. ;)

Shark Man 30 January 2007 12:12 AM

Did you know that farting into the fuel filler neck and quickly replacing the cap will reduce your 0-60 by 0.02seconds?
:)

yeah, view my scooby.

LG John 30 January 2007 09:14 AM

If you launched off the lights/roundabout/whatever then you'd happily stay ahead of the Aston until the legal limit was exceeded. After that however, its curtains. Remember with 4WD vs RWD it would be possible for him to post a quicker 0-60 time but still be physically behind you on the road.

nathanb 30 January 2007 09:16 AM

Have you paid for all them mods yourself mate? You must be skint!!

Nice motor though fella!
