Forge motorsport alloy header tank.

Ive just fitted a Forge motorsport alloy header tank to my classic Impreza and noticed that the cap is a poor fit, when the engine warms up the water leaks from under the cap

Anyone got one of these and experienced similar problems or not ?

email forge they are good to deal with if you have problems ( well was with me any hows )

Mine did that, so I got a new Apexi cap. Problem solved. Its more likely to be the cap than the new tank.

Ive just bought a uprated HKS cap from GGR so hopefully that will solve my problem ;)

my forge tank split around the welds

they are not made very well IMO

had to get the joins re welded by a mate :cuckoo:

Should be made well for £150,I didn't pay as much as that from them ;) but thats what they charge !

If mine splits it will definately be going back !

Oh dear, doesn't sound promising then. I only paid the extra and bought the alloy one as I thought it would be more reliable than the original unit
