Razz,

Had a bit of problem with emissions last year. The emmisions were very slightly above the limit. Solved enough for the MOT by curing slight leak on exhaust flange between centre pipe and back box. I know this sounds strange but a hint of a leak will bring emmisions up. Also try reving car to between 2000 and 3000 rpm when taking reading. I hope this helps or someone has better ideas.

What car is it?

If an Impreza, does the replaced d/p have a cat in?

Thanks Stewart12. I'll get the garage to check it out as the car has been there for a week & Dave, the car has standard downpipe.

Get it nice and hot before the retest, and if possible ask them to do the emissions test first while the front cat is still hot. If it still fails, you could try plugging a select monitor in to see if there is an O2 sensor or any other failure.

Cheers Dave. I'm going to the garage today and i'll se if they've fixed the problem.
