Hi All

I am extremely pleased to say that the clothing sales and advertising income have put ScoobyNet into the black. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif !!!

This does not include set-up costs (which we hope to pay for over time) or anybody's time, but excluding them, we are no longer losing money! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif *phew*

THANK YOU everybody!

As promised. This money is being put back into the community, and at the end of last week we started thinking about the best way to do this.

The largest number of email requests seemed to be to bring back the original ScoobyChat.

So here it is!!

Bah!

Doesn't work. After the login screen I just get a little box saying 'connect' that does nothing when you click on it.

Any ideas

Hi All

If anyone has any suggestions as to how we can help people behind firewalls, let me know...

WALKER http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif - I hated telling you it was a Medium, hope you like it.

Sorry you're having problems chaps...
How long are you leaving it? It needs to download the java chat aplet. This should only take a few seconds, but maybe longer on a slow connection.
Email me and we'll try to sort it out.

Thanks for the comments chaps (and Subie Gal!).

Best regards

Simon

Bo Ho! Firewalls can't be got past without your firewall administrator giving the returning packets access........or thats what my bod in IT just told me, something about Viruses or something.

Trev.

RichS 15 November 2000 10:59 AM

erm... my IT knowledge is limited:

I'm running a Zone Alarm personal firewall.

I don't remember configuring it to allow "returning packets" or whatever, but Chat seems to work fine for me.

Does this mean my firewall isn't doing something it should?

Sorry to go off topic.
