Re-badging MY05 STi Type UK..Pics Please

Please could someone post some 'square on' shots with a datum point of all the standard badging on their STi, with measurements if possible.

Boot:
WRX Impreza
STi Type UK

Doors:
STi Subaru Technical International.

Previous owner has debadged all STi bits, even took front grill out...
Dealer has ordered them for me.

Thanks
M

The "A" is actually 44mm, so just let it overhang by 2mm each side. I used a length of white cotton stretched between the bottom corners of the clear part of the lights and then measured a centre, then marked it out as above. Before placing the letters I then taped a 2' steel rule under using the cotton guide line to rest each letter on and ensure perfect alignment.

Doh!

Found these.. hope it helps..

The 'Type UK' badge sits about 5mm under the STi badge on the boot below:

You can just about make out the 'STi Subaru Technia International' sticker on the door... hopefully well enough to position yours anyways.

(Sorry to post this... if it is your car - think it is Webmaster's car)

Good luck!

Cheers..!!

Dealer may want a go... not to sure... he reckons the backing is lined up so easy to fit...

AndyMoody 04 February 2007 10:51 PM

Yeah I'm sure the backing is shaped to fill the boot edge. Not cheap though to replace. I had to fit the SUBARU too which comes on a backing sheet correctly spaced. I went to a dealer, took some photos and measurements and used masking tape to get alignment.

hopefully this pic will help you get some ref points

The STI badge has a boot alignment backing and the door stickers have a notch in the backing so that you can line them up with the front of the door. I know this because I had to do the same thing on wednesday! I assume the other badges are the same.

Thanks to all who helped with this..

Notes:
STi badge came with a template that lines up with boot lid..
Type UK didn't...and alignment is a bit random on the cars I have been shown/googled, maybe have been fitted at dealers/UK importers???

Door stickers are off Ebay, top quality...are handed for each side...the press cars I have seen on google images dont seem to be handed (ie STi at left on RH door and left on RH door??)
Genuine ones are coming

STi badge for grill on way.... Back to standard soon!

Dealer gave me 2 extra STi fog lamp cover stickers...put one on the scoop....
