Anyone help with installing uprated fuel pressure regulator to a 2002 STI?

Does anyone have step by step instructions with pics on installing an uprated fuel pressure regulator to a 2002 STI?

ie sx, fuelab or aeromotive

need this on car before mapping so if someone can help asap that would be great

Are you running a parallel set up or standard? if you have a new regulator it should include instalation instructions covering both set-ups.

off top of my head.

remove original fpr.. fit adaptor. . run fuel line from adaptor to side connector of reg.. fit blank to other side port and gauge to the smaller hole (if fuelab) if sx then gauge probably into the other side connection.
bottom of reg to tank return (ie. where the original fpr reg connected to).

connect vac line.. set the pressure.. not checked a standard 2002 sti but would assume around 3bar with vac line OFF..

Use ptfe tape or plumbers sealant paste on connections as required.

Is that not for a classic setup as the fpr on the classic is connected directly to rail, but on the newage the reg is connected at the top of the engine between a hose on the passenger side?

Thanks for the pic mate, but would need to see under the manifold etc where the existing reg used to go and how its plumbed in there.
Anyone know where the fuel pump plug is under the passenger side footwell?

Sorry to hi-jack!
But what does the FPR actually do, can they be added to a slightly modded bugeye WRX as it looks like some nice under bonnet bling too!
