Changing centre section worth it?
Is it worth changing the "rear centre section" bit on a new-age car? I.e. *not* the centre-section cat, but the pipe that comes after (with the resonator box)?
The relevant mods will probably be as follows: * Decat up-pipe * TD05 * Prodrive sports down pipe * Afterburner decat centre * (currently) standard resonated centre section * standard back box (to keep noise down to a minimum) Is the OEM centre section really restrictive, and if so, is it worth going for a resonated centre section, or will that be just as bad as the OEM? |
Well on my previous STi MY04 I had the ppp, changed the back box only at first for a TSL grp N box which was an improvement then removed the next resinated pipe for the de resinated TSL bit. made the car seem far more responsive and crisp a litle more lively.
So in my opinion I say yes it is worthwhile but not worth changing a resinated section for another .:thumb: |
I agree.........

oh crap, that means I'll have to increase noise then (and cost) :(
