Very slight clutch slip... I think!

Car: 2001 Bugeye WRX 81K on the clock.

Was sitting in 4th gear at high revs and went to put the foot down and the revs jumped up slightly quicker than the speedo, a second it was before going back to normal, 3 times its happened in a higher gear.

Is this clutch slip, if so, is it best to change it know or wait off?

Which is the best clutch to replace it with? Heard a leggy 2.2 twin turbo is good replacement.

Thanks for the advice.

Another question, can you just replace the clutch plate it self?

Sounds like its on the way out. Get it changed before it strands you somewhere. Normal to replace the whole assembly (cover plate and thrust bearing) as they'll all be past their sell by date. Also usually need to have flywheel skimmed by expert for a proper non juddering job. Best go to an independant Subaru specialist.

Thanks, what price roughly for the whole unit?
