Tips 'n' Tricks before pick-up
Hi Chaps
Hopefully i will be picking up my first Scoob on the w/e its an MY05 STI PPP, and i just wondered if there is anything i should be asking to dealer to set on the car ? I have owned VAG cars for the last 5 years and there are a number of things you can set in the cars computer using VAG-COM , ie autolock, one touch single door unlock, alarm bleep etc, is there anything similiar on the Scoob Or any cheap and simple mods/tips (i've got the one about stoppping for fuel each time I see a petrol station :lol1: )that are glaringly obvious to an existing owner, but not so obvious to a noob Thks Tony |
Detango the front lights, thats free!!

you can set autolock on the doors via the alarm & if you want you can get the alarm to chip on locking/unlocking. Thats about it thou, no other fancy things can be done.

I don't think there's anything you can ask "to set". But there's plenty of accessories you could always pester them for: PFF7's Alloys Prodrive Springs Mudflaps To name a few... |
PPP ask for proof the fuel pump has been changed and throttle position sensor calibration check. Dealers are useless at this.

Is this enough proof then or is there anything I should check for myself? If so please let me know where to look etc... Any pictures or anything would help. Thanks. The car is damn quick though lol :) |

if they are meant to have serviced it pull the dipstick and check the colour of the oil to make sure they did. Check air filter too if you remember!
