Scooby Paint Codes
Right....... probably done a 1000 times over, but........
Is there more than one shade of white in Scooby's? I know "most" jap cars (Evo, FTO etc) the white is called Scotia White. Where would I find the paint code - engine bay? I have found a company who will refurb and paint my alloys for a good price, but said if I can find the actual colour code of my car, they will get that particular shade and it would look much better, rather than using a random shade of white. THANK YOU!!!!!! :thumb: |

Top man!!! :luxhello:

bear in mind though Em that white is a b'stard colour to match. It's all very fine and well having a panel painted in official Scooby white but the rest of the panels will have faded over time. Yours doesn't look too bad but white tends to go a yellowy kind of colour

And it ain't WRX!!! :p :hjtwofing Well @ Least WR Blue is proper like !! Not like that Terzo Blue :lol1: Terzo blue = WR Blue Primer !!! :p EmEm , Alot of painting places have a paint mixing machines , You tell them the paint code & Year of car & the computer will work out how much the paint would of faded over those years & mix the paint to match that , It's not as if you are just having one door painted on the side of your car , Wheels should be fine imho even if a little different in colour / Shade of white to the rest of the car ;) Tiny ... |

White wheels look crackin but youre gonna have a mare keeping on top of them.
Id recomend about 4 to 5 layers of poorboys wheel sealant before fitting them. This ensures almost nothing will stick to them and cleaning will be a breeze.. this protection should be renewed every 4 to 5 months but its well WELL worth the effort. Available here :D Detailed Obsession |

Black mica has other colours blended in with the black. Mine is Graphite Black & that has gold, red, green, you name it it's in there. Catch the light at the right angle & the colours appear. http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/albums/album27/S5_Small.jpg Then from another angle it's just "gloss black". http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/albums/album27/IMG_9492.jpg Mark ;) |
great picture Mark :)
Fozz's and Frayz are different. one has red in it, and the other blue, i think!!! glad i dont spray cars for a living, what a nightmare ???? Dazza :) |
Nice pics Mark :D
Dazz, Fozzies is the same colour as Marks car. Mine is Blue/Black pearl.... flips to midnight blue in the sun. I dont have any cool pics like Mark but you can see the efect here. Double click the pic and you can see blue pearl in the corners and gloss black reflections :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...y/DSCF0026.jpg |
Nice shine there frayz. That paint needs to go back in the oven m8, it's still wet.
Gold turns to carbon as the light hits the scoop. :lol1: http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/albums/a...RACE.sized.jpg Mark ;) |

The colour code on the chassi plate will only tell you the colour code and not the shade? Its down to the garage to decide which shade should match your car most colours have around 3 different shades but some have loads!:brickwall If you want to see how many shades there are of your colour you can check it on the Standox - Car Paint - Colour Formulations - Waterborne Paint - Scratch Repair, then click on the ' Formulations Online' and go from there:norty:

Dan (Paint sprayer):thumb: Hmmm...see what you mean. There appears to be two 18L Graphite Blacks for Subaru :brickwall :wonder: What does the panel column mean? |
Most colours blend in nice but you can get some colours that will look off colour in different lights and at different angles? Like reds, a red colour match might look good in normal sun light but then out it under a street lights of garage four court lights and can end up lookin totally off colour:brickwall, whites can be a pain in the arse too there is usually lots of different shades.
