Anyone ordered a Evo X?

Just wondering, has anyone ordered or seriously considering ordering one?

MadGrip 22 January 2007 12:54 AM

definately considering one, but not prepared to take the depreciation hit just to be one of the first

2000TLondon 22 January 2007 12:56 AM

I'm not going to order one, but will definetly be considering it when it arrives in the US..... Should be in the region of $34,000!! :thumb: :luxhello:

paul2070 22 January 2007 01:25 AM

Is it available to order yet??

stilover 22 January 2007 01:59 PM

heavier car, but aluminium engine.

driving dynamics will be awesome,

I want one but will wait until the depreciation hits it first.

Not so keen on the hatchback design.

The front is great but the rear isn't quite right for me.

A) Probably.
B) No amount of power is too much.
C) Hope not. Have they not designed new engines for the Evo? 4500miles is just a joke.

KiwiGTI 22 January 2007 04:13 PM

No, would love one, but will never buy a new car again because I really don't want to lose the money.

Deep Singh 22 January 2007 04:53 PM

Deprec is whats bothering me too. I thought maybe it'll be better on this one as its an all new model? Does anyone know if real pics of it have been released or just photoshop/concept ones?

Opinion to the above:
A) Who cares?
B) Can be taken care of, just like on a scoob
C) Who cares? It's a rallycar for the road, not a bloody Mondeo deisel!

You'll probably save a lot of depreciation by getting an early JDM model at huge discount. For example, you can buy a present Evo IX GSR for about £22-23k, and probably sell it after a year for £20k, whereas a UK FQ340/360 will lose about £10k in its first year to end up about the cost of the new import. However, you'll have a little more hassle insuring it.

I want to know more about the engine before I consider it.

I think the 4500 service intervals have nothing to do with the engine, its the fluid in the Super-Active Yaw Control that needs changing

john banks 23 January 2007 04:21 PM

... every 9000 miles now. It is the engine service interval that is 4500. I can only assume it is either that they want to keep it at 4500 to get the servicing money, or maybe the fuel content in the oil goes up quickly because the 2.0 engine runs a huge 184 BHP/litre on the present IX FQ360.

Deep Singh 23 January 2007 05:27 PM

Are there no details on the engine?

Are insurance companies still charging alot more for 'grey' imports?
