Did my old ones red and then did the SUBARU letters in white. Easy mate, used Hammerite primer and Red Smooth. Danglies. You can get the stickers for the rear calipers that say SUBARU (Daz????) to, they are heat resistant. So, gold should not be a problem:thumb:

DannyBoy007 22 January 2007 12:58 PM

I did my old ones in gold, Haven't got an pictures though.

I did gold with black lettering, Purley because I had the hammerite paint left over from when I painted an iron fence black and gold!!!!

Russ71 22 January 2007 02:17 PM

Yeah thats an idea, they dont look too bad, they are the normal subaru grey with the subaru in white, I thought it might not look good painted but I just might.:norty:

DannyBoy007 22 January 2007 05:28 PM

Tell a lie, I have got a photo, this was taken when mine were taken off to fit the brembo's, there not very clean but you get the idea, I used a small 2" roller to paint the black on the lettering. It's hard to tell from the picture as they are very dusty

You can see that the standard calipers are in fact quite big and the pistons are nearly the same size, it's the bigger disc's of brembos that does the job

Russ71 22 January 2007 09:49 PM

MMmmm:wonder: I wonder if hammerite does the colour "Brembo Gold" :lol1:

Just might do that. Cheers Danny
