Customer Service.... (HP - INDIA!)

Got a HP printer for my birthday 10 months and over the last 3/4 weeks it has started not to pick the paper up.... I would say it has not even been used 50 times in 10 months so i though i would see if they can fix.

I call the Comet from where it was purchased and they put me onto HP.. fair enough..

Call HP and go through to technical support who think they can fix it. Spend 20 mins on the phone while they take all my details etc before they ask me to turn it on... Then i say its at home... They ask me to call back when i'm at home so they can fix it. I tell them what the problem is again and they are sure they can fix it!! This has ****ed me off big time. people in INDIA just don't understand. I hate call centres outside the UK. All i want is for it to be fixed or replaced!!

Sorry for that rant...

Anyone got any ideas for what i can do?

Cheers
G.

Get the receipt, take it back to comet, tell them it doesnt work properly, they should replace it for you.

Dont deal with companies with offshore call centres ..............
Companies will soon learn.

Go out and buy a lexmark printer;)

I binned my hp last year although it was just over 12 months old, customer helpline was fookin useless and put me through to some Foreign woman who I just couldnt understand, after 10 minutes of trying to describe the problem I got cut off:mad:

No probs with my new printer :)

I won't buy another one. HP are a joke.

Canon for me - after binning an HP and Epson printer just a few months outside their warranties. Shame really, my very first HP printer ran and ran without a problem.

Given my luck with printers, I did actually buy the extended warranty from PC World when I bought this printer - the salesman nearly fell over because someone said yes to wanting a warranty :D

So far the warranty has worked, the printer is fine :)

Ive had a month of grief trying to get Esure's 'customer services' <sic> department to send my proof of NCB
...its an asian call center...very polite and professional sounding....but absolutely ZERO results

..oh and my HP deskjet (mono) is about 8 years old and never failed me..I love it!

I completely agree that HP customer services are indeed a joke. I have the misfortune of having to phone India fairly regularly if equipment we support at work has failed within it's warranty period.

Joke is not the word. They are a bunch of tossers who ****ed the wrong person off.

I will be gettting a full refund from them now. this will be fun! :D
