1996 WRX STI for sale (mint)

Unfortunately I'm going to put my first, and loved Scooby up for sale. I've been offered an MY03 STI PPP for a very good price so this is really tempting me. I'm also interested in getting an S2000 ready for the Summer so the STI has to go! So here we go...

69500 miles.

6 months tax, 12 months MOT.

ENGINE

Fully rebuilt engine from AS Performance in Birtley (Impreza specialists - posts as stockcar on here) included forged pistons, new rods, new crank, RCMS modified oil pump, new oil modine. Ran semi-synthetic for 1000 miles and then Motul 15-50 fully synthetic ever since. The car has now done 8,000 miles since the rebuild in October 2005. Recipts to prove. Oil changed every 5000 miles. It has also had a rebuilt gearbox installed in August 2006, again by Alyn at AS Performance. A standard clutch was also installed at the time of the gearbox going in. All fluids and belts have been changed recently.

BODYWORK

Recently had a front end respray by a very reputable company to get rid of the stonechips of which Imprezas are notorious! Perfect colour match. MRO styling front lip spoiler and front grille. Version 6 high line rear spoiler. Rally mudflaps with pink STI logos.

WHEELS

16" Krueger Evolutions painted gloss black. Paddy McGaurd locking wheel nuts. Avon ZZ3 tyres all round with good tread left.

SUSPENSION

Ohlins adjustable damper rate suspension.

BRAKES

Black Diamond X-drilled and grooved discs all round. Mintex pads all round. Goodridge braided hoses all round.

MODIFICATIONS

* Hayward and Scott custom built 3" decat downpipe.
* Blitz NUR spec full 3" stainless exhaust system (with bung) (VERY LOUD!!!)
* Apexi SAFC (rev1)
* Blitz SUS power induction kit (not one MAF failure)
* Blitz fully automatic turbo timer
* Blitz blow off valve
* HKS boost gauge mounted on A pillar in pod
* ScoobyECU mapped to 1.1bar and UK fuel
* MOMO Race steering wheel
* MOMO leather and chrome gear knob

SECURITY

Central locking via key fob
Full CAT 2 immobilisor
Tracker

This car is HPI clear. I have an RAC inspection from when I bought it which is available (only problems it found was a leaking rocker gasket and front stonechips (which now have been sorted)). I spent months looking for the best and this is it. Any RAC / AA inspection is welcome.

Really nice example of an impreza mate, hope you get your asking price :)

Cheers guys! I actually flew down to Heathrow from Newcastle to pick this up, that was after the RAC did their checks on it.

I don't want to sell it in a way because I love driving it. However, being a primary school teacher, it's not exactly the 'correct' car to own! :lol1: It's very 'in your face', especially with the NUR spec and the decat DP!!!!

I suppose it's personal taste! I'll leave it on and then if the new owner wants to take it off it's up to them?

I'm open to sensible offers by the way!

Not to sure as I never go that far up the rev range!!!

By the dials, it looks like 7,000 rpm!
