police officer praise

Just turned into a local road not 20 minutes ago and as I drove up the road on coming police van opens drivers window, informs me I took the corner too fast... to which I replied... huh... he asked me to pull over.

He asks me to get out for a chat, whats my name, who owns the car blah blah... then he asked me to breath on him... to which I made the motion of blowing up a baloon whilst laughing, he laughed too.

5 minutes later he tells me its all checked out ok and thanks me. I took the chance to ask him a legal question about tax insurance and MOTs and he answered and off we went !!

Polite, calm, respectful... No problem being pulled over

lucky you! must have been in good mood lol! what time was this? perhaps he was on his way back to the nick and didn't want to spend time talking to you, and had probably already checked your car for tax/insursamce etc anyway

octain 14 January 2007 10:37 AM

How did he know you took it to fast, speed camera/ laser gun or just another officer with a eye for it? that knows it all,

"breath on him" how crap is that , do it proper or not at all

i could see that in court

judge " how did you know he was speeding"

officer " it looked faster than me"

Judge " was he drunk"

officer " no but he had had a curry the night before"

judge " how did you Know"

officer " i asked him to blow in my face, so i could test him"

judge "did you do any other test"

Officer " yes he peed in a plastic cup and i dipped me finger and sampled it"

Judge " but you say he was in one of them scooby doos GUILTY SEND HIM DOWN GOOD WORK OFFICER,

officer " thank you sir "

how can you prais some one for that load of s..t

Can't believe you took the time to type all that rubbish tbh  (octain that is)

Its because they should really have a reason to pull you up. You have to be suspected of something. I got pulled once for "taking that corner a bit fast" despite the fact it was a junction and i'd stopped to give way to a vehicle.

Still, they just checked the car was mine and let me kn my way. No problem with that at all.

5t.

How is this police officer praise?

He pulled you over after accusing you of taking a corner too fast then assumes that you may have been drinking the night before.

Seems like he inconvenienced you to me.

pimmo2000 14 January 2007 12:23 PM

seriously I dont mind, I'm of the skinhead variety and although I was wearing quite smart clothes its worth the 10 minutes to know they might actually stop a theif... saying that, if I had stolen it, with them having to turn around in the round and driving a camera van, I'd have been LONG gone :)

Everyones opinion differs, in the Coppers opinion he went round the corner to fast, he told him so (he didn't nick him, he just brought it to his attention. Spot on.

I, the tax payer don't want pi$$ed up prick running me or my kids over so the copper smelt his breath. Problem?

If your car got nicked & old bill pulled the thief over & got ya car back you'd moan coz it wern't filled up with fuel.

Pi$$in' in the wind....

What a load of Bollucks!:Whatever_ A Police Officer in uniform has the right to stop anyone to check their documents are in order. It is an offence not to hand them over at the time they are requested. :nono: However, as we live in the real world that's why the HORT 1 is there to give you 7 days to produce them. :Whatever_ Most documents can be checked over the radio now, but you have to speak to the driver to confirm who he is, to do a driving licence check. As for the allegation of speeding, it may well of been done to give a reason for a check. As a rule i personally check most Fast cars as they are often stolen with the keys in house burglaries to carryout crime and get away fast.Food for thought if you are reported to the police by numerous people, say 3 for careless driving, as a driver anyone with reasonable experience can judge if another vehicle is or may be driving erratically. Some traffice offences rest merely on the experience of an average driver to prove the offence resulting in conviction!:nono: :nono: Granted there are dickheads in all jobs, i should know there is one on my shift!:brickwall  Sometimes i have to spend hours with him:cry: That's my moaning done. One last comment, In my experience Police generally stop Scooby's to check they are not stolen!!:thumb:

Quite lucky where I live get pulled a dozen or so times in the last 6 years, and don't have a problem with being stopped, normally. I found 9 out of 10 Traffic and "Q car" cops car I've met are brill :D yet 6 out of 10 "Beat" cops (wannabe Traffic cops) are rude, arrogant and clueless.

IMHO

Nothing else to say:norty: couldn't give a sh.t about my spelling. More worried about dick heads whos wages i pay and hide behind the so called law. May be we should start pulling them over and asking them if they are busy doing something.

BuRR 14 January 2007 05:06 PM

Give it a go -nods-

J_sca001 14 January 2007 10:08 PM

Octaine Boy!

Give it a go octain boy your be farting Otaine for a week!!:lol1: Only joking. You have to be in the job to understand it. I would take notice of a car leaving a pub car park. I would carryout a few radio checks, and observe his or her driving. If the driving was OK i would not normally stop it. God my spelling is ****e!!:freak3: I should know better!:lol1:
