TAX

my misses was talking to someone down our local lastnight and she mentioned that i was afetr a scooby, apparnetly he owns one and said that the tax is higher than a normal car as its group 20, is this right as i thought it went on the engine size, so is it the same as i would pay on my 328i sport.

thanks

Its actually goes on CO2 Emissions

Our Scoobies aren't the best for global warming and the tree huggers really don't like us

:D

I just got tax for my Scooby, and it was £170 odd for 1 year...which was the same amount I paid for my 4x4 3.0!
I think its split into 2 sections:

Bikes upto 50cc
Bikes over 50cc
Cars upto 1.6
Cars over 1.6

and then HGV etc....

Would this be right??

For older cars, as phil mentions, for newer cars it is based on emissions.

If it's an import it should have the co2 limits at the base of the reg doc! These were done at sva! And you will probably pay £175/year
