M.O.T Question
I have a Rover 6o0. The M.O.T is due next month and my power steering is not working. It is leaking fluid but i havent topped it up and running with no pwer steering. Would this be an M.O.t failiure?
Cheers in advance:thumb: |
Ring up a garage and ask em -but i wouldn't think so but ask them :thumb:

Cheers mate. Thaught i ask the crystal ball of SN first. Good reply tho. lol:thumb:

Not sure where it sits in the MOT but leaks are generally seen as a bad thing and can cause failures. Leaking strut = failure etc ......
|
it does leak when i put the fluid in but steering is ok, fair dos no power and it is heavy but doesnt affect the way the car drives.:)

Was that of any use to you ? Yeah, its was great use. Now youve proved to the rest of SN that your a prick. HTH:hjtwofing :thumb: |
Power steering not working when fitted to a car, will fail the MOT.
Leaking fluid when you top it up to get it working, will fail the MOT. Bad news all round I'm afraid. |
Great:( . Thanks for the info mate:thumb:

As above, it will fail.
You can either fix it yourself, or just remove the PAS and it would be OK. A really fussy MOTer could fail it with PAS removed, but mine is always OK. |
