Put deposit down on a 350Z yesterday

Travelled 200 miles round trip to look at one in kuro black, 54 plate with GT pack - Rays, black leather, cruise, Bose stereo. Car had 1 owner from new and covered only 14.7k miles in 2 years. P2 service had been carried out a month ago.
Did the deal but insisted on them changing the rear tyres as they had only a few months life left in them.
Going to pick it up next Saturday. Can't wait :)

Enjoy :) Mines going to have to stay on the garage if it snows, but at the moment I'm enjoying the tail wagging action :D Great fun car to drive despite its weight. Enjoying every minute of it.

Mr Leigh 07 January 2007 03:38 PM

Enjoy it. Best car I've had. I might even have another, unless a T25 or new M3 lure me in ~They look and drive great. And it will keep up with most cars even Scoobies and M3's.

I'd have loved an Sti6 though!! My Scoob was MY99WR

Monkeybone 07 January 2007 03:57 PM

I really like the look of one these for a next car :)

astraboy 07 January 2007 04:05 PM

I had one on test drive, we nicknamed it the "zzz" and the power was nice.
The looks were not though, like a poor mans Audi TT. People were looking at me, but for all the wrong reasons!
I took it back and didnt look back. Painted nice black lines on the tarmac though:cool:

Mans TT ? There's an oxymoron if I ever heard one :lol1: 350z for men, TT for girls.

Agree with that one. Astraboy, what are you on about! How do you know what people were thinking when looking at you? I wish I had that for a 6th sense :)

It was the sneer which most of them did after they clapped eyes on it that gave it away for me. Given the choice, I would go for the S15.

Congrats mate. Fantastic cars.

Matteeboy 07 January 2007 07:03 PM

Lovely car.
I was very impressed when I tested one.

Just needed a bit more space in the back for surfboards so got a Golf R32 instead.

Blueblaster 07 January 2007 07:29 PM

I came so close to getting one of these when they first came out. Couldn't find a dealer who would do a sensible trade-in deal so walked away. If you can live with the boot they are a cracking car. Good residuals too.

davyboy 07 January 2007 07:31 PM

A shame they are not 200kg less, then it would be a proper car :thumb:

Matteeboy 07 January 2007 07:58 PM

Agreed - 1500kg is a wee bit heavy for a 2 seat sports car!

But then the Golf was overweight too.

davyboy 07 January 2007 08:14 PM

I thought it was 1575kg

Golf, sorry, whats that got to do with this thread?

Matteeboy 07 January 2007 08:22 PM

Read my first post Davy - I tested a number of cars including the 350Z and decided on an R32 Golf.
Both have big block N/A sixes.

Or are you going to have yet another dig?

Yawn.

J4CKO 07 January 2007 08:27 PM

AB, given some of the 'esoteric' stuff you have driven, I find it hard to beleive you give a toss about the opinion of those who think a TT is a good idea ?

MarkWRX 07 January 2007 08:57 PM

Nice car mate, enjoy :)

Some strange comments on here!

Driver's car........in a fat assed sort of way. Needs to lose 300 to 400kg to be a proper sports car.

Top car, top colour:)

It'll be like this one then:

I've never looked back since selling the Scoob. I'm sure you'll find it so much easier to live with. I get cheaper insurance, more MPG - and of course it looks and goes soooooo well:)

Take a look here for a decent 350 forum: 350z UK - Forum, Owners Club, News, Gallery, Events, and More...

Enjoy:luxhello:

Andy M3 08 January 2007 03:59 PM

Nice car indeed - and they sound great :)

Already on that forum + another ;)
Going to take Friday off work and pick it up then.
Sold my Scoob last January. Been in a banger diesel since then which "died" in October. Peddle power to work since October so I feel like I deserve something nice again. :)

Nick

PS - Too heavy too be a sports car? It's meant to be a GT. :)
