Car value after 2-3 years?

Looking at buying another scooby ;)

If you had to take a guess what do you think the value of a STI8 (2003-4) will be in 2 and 3 years time?

STI type UK 2003-4

JDM STI8 2003-4

I agree. Like to think a standard 53 plate sti will be worth approx £13k in todays market and lose 10% a year

Most cars - including Imprezas - lose 50% of the value after 3 years.

Ray_li 06 January 2007 06:54 PM

damn.

the thought of spending £12-15k then losing 50% over 3 years is scary

Is I buy an £1000 metro it wont be so bad :D

3 year old car will be worth about 45-50% of list price - if you expect to keep it for another few years then work on 10% per year IMHO - If you keep it more than 2 years you need to look at reducing the 10% slightly...

I paid £16.500 for an STi 03 plate type uk sixteen months ago, from a main dealers, included 30k service, superguard, 18 months full extended warrenty, with breakdown, 6 months tax.

I was quite pleased.
