what a s**** night/day

sorry i know it's not scoob related, but for those that live around the Benfleet area may have seen/heard about a house fire along london road.

Unfortunately this was my sisters house, so have spent most of last night and today trying to help clear the mess!!!

House is now a bit of a mess!!!! However thankfully sis, brother-in-law and kids are all safe and well.

Have now however, realised how something harmless can turn into absolute carnage!!!

cookstar 05 January 2007 08:37 PM

Bright side though, nobody was hurt.

COuld have been much worse :)

yes mate, material things can be replaced!! Had a lift home from London after work yesterday and could see the smoke from the pitsea flyover!!! didnt realise until we got closer it was my sisters. Then took me 5 mins running around like a loony to find out everyone was out and unharmed.

Although the cat had a bit of trouble. Hats off to the Essex fire brigade who did everything they could to revive her, and she is now at the vets recovering.

sorry to hear that Phil, sort of know how you must have felt. I have never been so s*** scared in my life when i see flames and smoke pouring out the house.

Oh and i just cannot believe some people.

The house is in a mess, my 2nd car is now a burnt out shell and yet, whilst everyone was round my mums some pikey barsteward tried to load his van up with whatever scrap metal etc he could lay his hands on!!!! Lucky for them they were on their toes by the time we had recieved a phone call and got round there!!!!
I cannot believe there are scum that low in this world!!!

It was a long time ago, but something similar happened but it was a reporter who we found walking through the charred house when we got back from the hospital

I was talked to by the police who explained punching the local reporter wasn't allowed ;)

these blokes were stopped by a neighbour and were made to unload the rubbish they had already put on their van.

thinking straight now, probably a good thing they had gone by the time we got there. My sis & brother-in-law have enough on their plate at the mo, without us being arrested.
