de-badge

i know the threads been done before but what do you guys think de-badge or not???:thumb: really cant decide

myblackwrx 05 January 2007 11:10 AM

depends i'v got an early wrx and don't really like the crappy sticker so i'm having mine removed

Varboy 05 January 2007 11:11 AM

personally, yes

EmEm 05 January 2007 11:11 AM

My Scooby only has the pink STi Subaru badge on the front and thats it. I prefer a clean looking car with no model type badges etc, but it is personal preference TBH!! I would say de-badge all the way!! Have you tried to load a piccy of your car onto Photoshop and tried "erasing" the badges to see what it looks like? When I was umming and ahhing about getting clear indicators, someone photoshopped a piccy of my car with clear indicators, and it definitely helped me decide!
I'm sure someone on here would be able to do it for you, if you post a piccy?

AndyWalker 05 January 2007 11:49 AM

im pretty handy at the simplier photoshop jobs :)

stychey 05 January 2007 11:50 AM

1994 WRX De-badged

Just found a picture of my first Impreza (pic was taken at a Derby Scoob meet back in early 2000).

I will post shortly for you to see.

The car was originally fitted with the rather poor quality WRX/green sticker.

Richard :)

stychey 05 January 2007 12:32 PM

is there any threads about the best way to de-badge :)

EmEm 05 January 2007 12:41 PM

Fishing line mate! Cut a long strip off, and basically run it between the badge and the body work. The line will cut through any glue and then have a bottle of T-Cut and a bottle of elbow grease to hand!!!!

yep boiling water to soften it, find a way of either peeling or getting something behind it to get it off, then some autoglym intensive tar and glue remover ;) then polish = perfecto

Matt_taylor 05 January 2007 12:52 PM

i dunno wether to do my red clasic or not

Dark Blue Mica UK Turbo de-badged

Found another picture of one of my old Imprezas (this is a 1997 UK Turbo) and tought it might be helpful to see a different coloured car that has been de-badged.

The car was fitted with the SUBARU chrome style lettering:

Apologies for quality of pic.
