de-badge
i know the threads been done before but what do you guys think de-badge or not???:thumb: really cant decide
|
depends i'v got an early wrx and don't really like the crappy sticker so i'm having mine removed
|
personally, yes
|
My Scooby only has the pink STi Subaru badge on the front and thats it. I prefer a clean looking car with no model type badges etc, but it is personal preference TBH!! I would say de-badge all the way!! Have you tried to load a piccy of your car onto Photoshop and tried "erasing" the badges to see what it looks like? When I was umming and ahhing about getting clear indicators, someone photoshopped a piccy of my car with clear indicators, and it definitely helped me decide!
I'm sure someone on here would be able to do it for you, if you post a piccy? |
im pretty handy at the simplier photoshop jobs :)
|
i might just do it i have seen a few on here n it looks good i have taken my turbo2000 badge off and put a carbon sti one underneath the drivers side rear light i just thinking about whats the paint work like under the subaru badge its a late 97 what do you think???

1994 WRX De-badged
Just found a picture of my first Impreza (pic was taken at a Derby Scoob meet back in early 2000).
I will post shortly for you to see. The car was originally fitted with the rather poor quality WRX/green sticker. Richard :) |
|
nice car mate im gonna do it :luxhello: you know the sti rear lights would they pass an mot on my uk model?? some thing to do with fog light:confused:
|
can wire a foglight into the reversing light holder on one side ;)
|
cheers for that mate :thumb:
|
I've just debadged most of mine. Just the pink STi is left on the back. Think it lOOks much better.
See my thread for newage pics: https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...light=de-badge |
is there any threads about the best way to de-badge :)
|
Fishing line mate! Cut a long strip off, and basically run it between the badge and the body work. The line will cut through any glue and then have a bottle of T-Cut and a bottle of elbow grease to hand!!!!

yep boiling water to soften it, find a way of either peeling or getting something behind it to get it off, then some autoglym intensive tar and glue remover ;) then polish = perfecto |

Dark Blue Mica UK Turbo de-badged
Found another picture of one of my old Imprezas (this is a 1997 UK Turbo) and tought it might be helpful to see a different coloured car that has been de-badged.
The car was fitted with the SUBARU chrome style lettering: http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...r/Impreza1.jpg Apologies for quality of pic. Richard |
