celebrity shagfest

Only joking.

On my my97 turbo the rear window has a heating element but this doesn't seem to be working. Should the window have wires attached to either end of the element? mine's just connected on one side and the other end doesn't seem to have any wiring close by that could have come off.

AF.

Or maybe you should have used a relevant heading, and posted under "Technical". :D ;)

AFAIK, it ought to be connected at both ends. Has it had a new windscreen at the back?

Use a simple circuit tester to check if the EXISTING connection is live 12V when the hrw is turned on. Cross your fingers that it is;)

If it is, it shouldn't be rocket science to run a cable from the other side to an existing or suitable earth, or even direct back to battery -ve.
