STUNNING S2 RST

What a credit to the owner this car is. i would be terrified to drive the thing and let dirt infect the engine bay!!

Ford : SPEC-R RS TURBO SHOW CAR

:D always liked the s2, but that is really clean

chris n`nic 04 January 2007 12:20 PM

Amazing motor but I can't help thinking the power is a waste. I would either have an imacculate example or a very fast one. As above I wouldn't like to ruin such a clean example but using the suspension/brakes/engine on the track where it belongs

Great, just don't park it on my road! ;)

Fantom 04 January 2007 01:37 PM

£7500!!!!! For a G reg Ford Escort?! Might be mint but you could buy a proper car for that money?

Dream Weaver 04 January 2007 04:02 PM

What's a proper car?

noobscoob 04 January 2007 05:55 PM

Yeah i agree 7500 is 7500 and that gets a lot of car if you look about. but considering this had 30 grand spent on it and some fools ask 5 grand for series 2's that are one step away from the glue factory i recon a serious rs nut will pay that.

if i took off my sensible head and got it i'm sure my g.f would break my kneecaps with a toffee hammer but id be happy ..broken limbed..ogling it in the garage.

and lets not forget people still pay 15-16 grand for escort cossies..which are still in all fairness performance and heritage aside..ford escorts.

ukdave 04 January 2007 06:15 PM

Interior looks out of place to be honest would have preferred it std, mates got a series 1 with simular engine bay to be fair in fact for rs owners these days most rs`s are simular to that

Indeed, with cars like this one you pay for the sum of all the bits, not the make and model.

I've probably spent over £8k on my H reg Pug, but i'd still rather have it than any other newer and std performance car, for now ;)

Rex93 04 January 2007 06:29 PM

nice looking car and looks well cared for but, for that money I think the money would be better spent on a more standard car.

Would still rather have an S1 over the S2 and theres some minters about for less than the price of this car.

Terminator X 04 January 2007 09:46 PM

Cars are for driving aren't they :cuckoo:

TX.

Matt Classic 05 January 2007 12:06 PM

Warms it up every week and its only done 20 miles since sept.........that cannot do the engine any good or can it ? (never have a chance to properly warm up will it?)
I acknowldege a lot of hard work has gone into it, but surely you'd want to drive it more than that to appreciate it ?

RobEvo5 05 January 2007 12:11 PM

Give me a S1 anyday. The S1 is the only one to have IMHO. Put that bling engine bay in a S1 and I would buy it.

Sport160 05 January 2007 12:57 PM

I think its fantastic, but not a car I would want to own myself.

As other have said would always prefer a Series 1 and also would prefer it to be on std RS wheels

One that you could drive without blue smoke following you about and wouldn't carry the risk of breaking all the time. i.e. a Japanese car ;)

Dream Weaver 05 January 2007 01:49 PM

My last Ford was more reliable than my last Jap car ;)

Why? It's only a bloody dagenham dustbin? They were crap cars from new and still are, despite 200 kilos of chrome bling , but now they're old as well...Wanders off shaking head sadly.

Just don't get it I'm afraid

Escort Cosworths were different kettles of fish

Dream Weaver 05 January 2007 11:14 PM

What's wrong with cars being old? A 93 WRX is old, but if its in decent condition its still a nice car.

Can't really see how it's got '200' kilos of bling.

Just a few dress up parts in the bay to make it look a bit better.

Still lovely tho.
