So I was driving enthusiastically last night when..

MY CAR JUST TURNED OFF? Was just after taking it round a corner, and it shut down turned off, wound my window up, (WHILE I WAS STILL IN FULL MOTION) Lost power steering etc. brakes. then bam, it starts back up again.

What the hell is that about? I could of died if it was a few seconds earlier. Just lost confidence big time with it now,

I presume its sumthing to do with intellistart that I had fitted 3 weeks ago!

I reckon it could be!! Never liked those intellistarts, and now you just said the above, if that is was caused it, I definitely dont like them!!!
I would contact the fitter and have words, coz as you said that is f*cking dangerous!!!!

The same thing happened to me once (without the window rolling up) when I hit a pothole. I think the ignition was worn and the key moved when the keyring jumped from hitting the hole.

Have you got anything heavy on the keys?

loose connection maybe but most likely causedby intellistart or whenthe battery was disconnected to fit it!!!!

Get it checked, then find a local airfield to chuck it aout in safety to test it!!

Yeah I have actually, but even if my keys had come out, the turbo timer would of kicked in coz it thought the car wud of been switched off, and also why would the window go up lol =|

But yeah, very dangerous experiance, and I can tell you I drove very very carefully from then onwards!

Definitely go back to where it was fitted! My 4x4 I had before the Scooby needed the diesel pump replaced (which was done...£500 later!!!) but that would stall on me and I would loose power steering, brakes the lots! That was scary in a huge car like that, but at least it wasnt as fast as the Scoob, so imagine if it happened whilst on going round country lanes etc!!!

I feel for ya man, That $hit destroys ya confidence of the car.

I doubt very much the installer of the intellistart will put his hands up.
