Non subaru owning newbie

joined up as i may be converting my camper to subaru power and as i know sod all about subarus then i am sure this is the place to go searching the database i currently own a 1) pug 405 2.0 16v LPG daily driver and tow barge (want to change) 2) mini turbo with nitrous 3) veedubya camper 1.6 Devon conversion (totally original) Mini is running 141.2 brake from its 1.3 on low boost and with no gas, i am currently having clutch probs and am on my 3rd in approx 600 miles, this last change has seen the boost rise to 16 psi and hold but still short of the engines estimated max of 22-24 psi, i have recently purchased a 16v head for the mini so once the clutch probs are overcome i will look into fitting this, website being done at present http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...71106001-1.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...71106004-1.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...71106008-1.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...0804_00021.jpg mine and my friend emmas minis http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...ottsc017-1.jpg the camper/subaru project http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...epics014-1.jpg |
IIRC someone did something similar with the van before, have a look in the projects bit. Good luck with it, there's a huge appetite for progress pictures on here!

mini goes quite well, torque steer is harsh though

Love the Mini, fantastic, you need to work on the video, doesnt do it justice, no music, few interior runs, few fly bys and take offs and job done.

what gearbox do you have in the mini is it the jacknife is that what you call it gearbox or is it a standard one?

Probably a Jack Knight straight cut dog box. Straight cut gears absorb far less power but they scream like a banshee! Dogs (dog rings as opposed to synchromesh rings) are like dirty women: the more you abuse them the happier they are.....
