anyone????????

martx 31 December 2006 06:14 PM

£11k?

Blueblaster 31 December 2006 07:07 PM

Trade in you'll be doing well to get £11k. For private sale that is probably close to the mark as the tyres and mods will be worth something. Sorry

Cocker 31 December 2006 07:09 PM

i would advertise for 13k and take an offer

Multijfj 31 December 2006 07:22 PM

I was recently in the market for an STi, and 03 cars have now started coming down due to lack of warranty etc. now, so around £12995 ono would be good for me, and take an offer of maybe £12,700

cuttsysti 31 December 2006 07:34 PM

I've an 04 plate STi with 24k on the clock which I have just part ex'd at a price of £13k.

Part ex'd for what?

cuttsysti 31 December 2006 07:45 PM

Newer scoob from a private specialist. I think its quite a good price, but its the second time i've bought from him now.

GeoffMM 31 December 2006 07:46 PM

11k dont be silly.

Multifj seems to have hit the nail on the head.

Blueblaster 31 December 2006 07:46 PM

Yeah, sounds like a sound deal. Good price for both of you I suspect.:thumb:

I agree it is a lot of car for 11k but it is a buyers market for these cars. Will be interested to know what he actually gets for it.

ethanrob 31 December 2006 08:34 PM

load of cock im afraid guys,
a subaru dealer offered me £11k for mine on a 52 plate with 70,000 miles on the clock,as said its a buyer's market, but dont let anyone have your arm off for your motor

13 grand sounds a fair price to me,as a dealer would be sticking that on the forecourt for around 15 grand

Blueblaster 31 December 2006 08:36 PM

Fair enough Ethanrob, but what did you buy from him in return and what did you pay for it?

And the mileage on the STI? If it has low miles then you got the deal of the century. :notworthy

Does 05 spec mean the same as MY05?

Blueblaster 01 January 2007 04:30 PM

That was six months ago don't forget. And it is now Christmas time.

Perhaps the key to this question is who is going to buy the car? I sold my Jan 06, MY05 8500 mile STI for £16,400 to a dealer at the beginning of September. The lowest price I was offered was £14,000. There is no way any dealer is going to pay £13,000 for a car with more than double the mileage that is 2 1/2 years older. The mods make it even less attractive. Private sale you might get the odd sniff, but be prepared to be haggled into the ground.
