Why did only the classics have bonnet vents ?

I've got absolutely no idea. The ones on my scoob were blanked off, so totally pointless.

possibly to do with early homolgation rules. If you want the rally car to have them. The road car has to have them.

yep...... but only on the car they wanted to homologate..... it appears on several models, wrx, wrx sti, type r and type ra (and the 22B).... I think the type RA was the rally homologation model - might be wrongo there, but that's the only one that would have been required to have the vents if they were to be used, the rest is there to make us all think we drive rally cars... lol.....
