Type Ra Gearbox
 

Hi all does anyone out there know what sort of power these are good for?

Sorry forgot to add its a 1994 Wrx Type Ra.

Mine(93 ra) runs 1.4 bar of boost with a full decat, 550 inj, FMIC, Power fc, ported headers etc, etc.

I am guessing it makes around 310/310 maybe a tad more.

Andy F mapped it and he claimed 1.4bar was just under the gear box breaking limit.

It's had plenty of stick with no issues at all. :)

Nice one mines running 320 Bhp but only on 1.2 boost!

It is excessive torque and driving style that will kill it!

Limit is about 370 lbft, much less if you abuse the speed of change/clutchless change.
3rd is the weakest.

Out of interest what's your rev counter reading at 100 mph ? Im about 5100 rpm ?

I think mine is pretty much the same i know its quite high!
