i dont think it will fit as the my99-00 could be remapped i think the plugs are not the same for these two models

As 4evermad said it wont fit m8 you have a 3 plug 97/98 ecu which is non mappable unless it has a daughter board fitted,OR apexi pfc unit

taking the oportunity and reformulating the question:

will that ECU fit a version 5 ( my99 ) european specification?
thanks in advance for your help.

It will fit but it won't run unless the Cam and Crank sensor wires are swapped. It will then run but would be dangerous for the engine as the fuel & ignition maps are not suitable.

Would be easier to get a stock MY99/00 ECU remapped.

Hello Scott
if I understood well you are meaning that the two wires on each sensor must be swapped; this is letf one to right and vice-versa, isnt ět?
And thanks again

No, at the input to the ECU you have a Cam sensor signal wire and a Crank sensor signal wire these need to be swapped with each other i.e replace the crank signal wire with the cam signal wire and cam signal wire with the crank signal wire.

But as mentioned above, I don't advise this due to inappropriate mapping.

I understand Scott
Thanks a lot
