STI8 replica scoop for bugeye, what now?

I have a replica scoop, that needs preping and painting, however there are no visable means of securing to the bonnet once done, do i need to drill and fit with nuts and bolts or what.

I have never removed the oe scoop to have a look, maybe it would be more apparent on what to do if i did, just wondering if anyone has fitted one like this before and how they went about it.

Cheers

Cookie :)

would think they have to be attached from underneath so you have to remove the oem scoop

Will maybe have to use some small bolts pushed through origional holes in bonnet, might nip out now and wip the oe one off and have a look :)

Right just took the undertray and scoop off fits pretty nicely when lined up, look like drilling some holes is all thats need, and a larger undertray

cookie,

i see you posted up on my pics in the members gallery and you asked about my scoop.

the lad who fitted mine did exactly as what you have described in your above comment.

No need to add anymore holes though, just put a small pilot hole through the oem ones, but please make sure you have it lined up properly before you do any.

then again i would think that youve done it know anyway from all the posts youve been putting up lately about your car.

all the best, paul.

If you haven't fitted it already:
I masking taped my scoop to the bonnet, marked the holes, drilled them then fitted the scoop. I didn't need a bigger undertray with mine.

Thanks guys, its not been fitted yet, as needs prepping and painting, the prepping i was thinking of doing myself, to gain a bit of experience.

Looking forward to this mod :)

I took the OE scoop off and layed the new one in its place, its fooking HUGE :D
