I don't get it
 

This was on Chris Evans show...things you just don't get.

Someone rang in and said Seinfeld.Agreed.Same with a couple of those hugely paid American chat show hosts.Must admit I stare blankly at the screen while they crack'hilarious' jokes.

Who or what don't you'get'?(Frasier is funny though)

I don't get Chris Evans, I find him as funny as a ginger turd in a swimming pool.

Seinfeld os hilarious.

But American chat show hosts are not. Letterman and Conan O'Brian are not funny whatsoever. Jay Leno is a bit better (Jonathan Ross's idol? ) but not much.

Everything is full scripted and the jokes are written by teams of script writers.

Which is a big differenec between US comedy and UK comedy. UK comedy is usually written by 1-2 people whereas shows like Will and Grace etc have big teams of writers, that even change over time.

Seinfeld is brilliant but my wife doesn't "get it" either. You need to watch some more of it.. For US TV it is brilliantly dark in places with a great sense of irony. All the main characters are so well written too.. Dumps all over Friends from a great height!!
