More bloody tax hikes!

For anyone who has booked, and paid for a flight outside of the EU after next Feb.

For economy pax its an extra £20 each way, so, for a family of 4 its another £160. No reduction for children, and if you have already paid in full, tough. The Govt position is that you the holiday you've booked, and paid for, you haven't yet "enjoyed", so you still have to pay. Anyone fortunate enough to be going business or 1st class, its £40 each way.

I'm not against the tax, per se, but FFS, if you've paid for the flight already, how can these *******s just add to the cost, because you haven't yet had it?

Do they pay cretins to sit around and make this sh!t up, FFS.

Its not each way.....

Its a departure tax, so its only as you leave the UK.

We've got to save the planet - by lining the pockets of the New Labour treasury.

It's even more for business class and first class pax- hence why I have to stump up another $500 ish in taxes for flights Ive already booked.

yes its rubbish

Coupled with BAA's inability to operate an airport properly, and the still in place ludicrous carry on restriction of only one poxy bag(unless that is you have bought crap airside and lined their pockets, then it is perfectly ok  ) I am getting pretty hacked off at the moment with the whole farce.
