Ringing round the usual suspects for best quote on a 215/35 18 T1-S its surprising to find that there are not many tyre centres selling Toyo's.
Of the last 6 called only 2 could supply. Anyone know where I can source one for a competitive price ? Thanks Ro. |
£115+vat each and we have them in stock
|
LOL - Pete beat me to it.....:D

Pete
Best offer so far is £123(inc vat) plus £6.95 delivery = £130 all in to my door. Had an interesting chat to the guy who said that this...... http://secret.lab6.com/uploaded_files/1006943955.jpg ...was repairable - its a nail in the side wall. If it is then will get it fixed - if opinion here is that its not repairable then will get a new tyre Pete - If you can match that price I will buy from you.... Ro. |
Should be repairable if you have it vulcanized -- but unless you can get the tyre place to lend you a tyre you'll be forced to run around on the space saver until it's done.
|
Another thought -- do Toyo still run the puncture guarantee thing whereby they pay part of the cost of a new tyre according to the tread depth you've got left?
|
Try ATS. I had a nail in a similar place and they removed the tyre and vulcanised it while I waited. As long as the nail isn't in the side wall they will consider a repair and yours looks to be far enough into the tread. I put my repaired one on the back just in case but had no problems until it was replaced after it wore out.
|
I can't quite match that price :(
|
Raymund - got a web site for ATS ?
Ro. |
Ro,
Try www.atseuromaster.co.uk or call 0800 60 10 60. That info courtesy of my local Yellow Pages :D |
Try Tyres Northampton - They are a Toyo dealer
01604 588599 ask for Malc or Mark, do not forget to mention the tyres are for a Scoob! Paul |
Toyo website has a list of dealers....
|
Fleetway tires of Watford/Rickmansworth had them in for £95!
|
Toyo no longer do the replacement guarantee when i bought my last set (last year) as strangely people were getting an awful lot of punctures......
|
I don't get it -- how did they lose out through the puncture guarantee? If you wait till they're half-worn then 'get a puncture' you only get half the price of new tyres. It's just like spreading the cost -- you don't save anything.
